Global Digital Business and Collaboration Forum was held by Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, MOEA on October 25th 2022. The Swedish Trade & Invest Council together with the “Sweden+Taiwan Green Transition Alliance” members Atlas Copco and Ericsson were invited to share Swedish experience and strategies on digital and green transition.
Petter Sund, Market Manager of the Swedish Trade & Invest Council indicated that Sweden and Taiwan have similar industry structure. It took a long time for Sweden to accomplish sustainable achievements. Now, Sweden is considered as a world leader in sustainability and ranked third in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Ranking. Petter suggested that government should support and cooperate with enterprises, especially SMEs to conduct digital transition and green transition.
During the panel discussion, Vice president and Chief Technology Officer Dann Yao of Ericsson Taiwan shared the 2040 goal of Ericsson to achieve net zero emission. He emphasized that energy efficiency is the priority of Ericsson. Ericsson’s goal is not only achieving net-zero emission within internal production and operation but also their value chain shall follow Ericsson’s requirements regarding net-zero emission.
In addition, CTS Business Line Manager Milo Ten of Atlas Copco Taiwan also shared how their products and solutions, such as air compressors, help their clients achieve carbon reduction. He mentioned the importance of adopting new technology and facilities for enterprises to effectively reduce energy consumption and improve performance. Many participants emphasized that the dynamic and flexible strategies are the key to effectively realize sustainable goals. Through this forum, both Swedish and Taiwanese companies had the opportunities to learn from each other’s approaches and experience of achieving digital and green transition.
