Sweden+Taiwan Green Transition Alliance visited Energy Administration to share experiences on how Taiwan and Sweden work on renewable energy development and industry green transition

The Swedish Trade & Invest Council together with the “Sweden+Taiwan Green Transition Alliance” members Assa Abloy, Altas Copco Taiwan, Baseload Power Taiwan visited the Director General Yu, Cheng-Wei of Energy Administration, Ministry of Economic Affair to share experiences on how Taiwan and Sweden work on renewable energy development and industrial green transition.

The Swedish Trade & Invest Council, Swedish Representative, Anders Wollter mentioned in the meeting :"Enterprises and industry plays an important role for green transition. The alliance is driving progress in green transportation, sustainable manufacturing, renewable energy, and green buildings. The companies here today are leaders who have integrated sustainability into their business models".

Director General Yu also mentioned that Taiwan and Sweden have great collaboration opportunity in renewable energy development for example geothermal power, industrial green transition (ex: steel industry) and energy efficiency topics.

The alliance members also recognize the recent progress in policies supporting the development of geothermal power. We anticipate further collaboration in the future for the advancement of renewable energy development and energy efficiency between Taiwan and Sweden.
