The Swedish Trade & Invest Council, together with the Sweden+Taiwan Green Transition Alliance members Baseload Power, Scania, Atlas Copco, Ericsson, Volvo Group and Assa Abloy, visited Taiwan Power Company on January 19 to discuss Taipower's net zero transformation and the role Swedish companies can play in it.
During the meeting, six Swedish companies discussed with Taipower on issues such as EV charging solutions, renewable energy development, enterprise private network application, and energy conservation, aiming to provide sustainable solutions and experience for Taipower’s green transition ambition.
In terms of energy saving, Atlas Copco emphasized that while Taiwan is actively developing renewable energy, it is also important to reduce unnecessary energy consumption and improve the efficiency of equipment; in terms of electric commercial vehicles development, Scania and Volvo discuss with Taipower about future plans related to charging and power allocation.
Regarding renewable energy, Baseload Power expressed their commitment for geothermal power investment. Ericsson and Assa Abloy discussed with Taipower Communications Office and the Secretariat respectively about the application of enterprise private network and Taipower's internal energy-saving measures.
During this visit, the member companies of the " Sweden+Taiwan Green Transition Alliance" approached the issue of green transformation from multiple perspectives based on their expertise and experience, aiming to become the strategic partners for Taiwan's net-zero transformation in the future.
