The meeting was also attended by the Architecture and Building Research Institute and the Taiwan Architecture & Building Center.
The Deputy Minister highlighted Taiwan’s ambition and commitment to achieving the net zero target in 2050, emphasizing the Ministry of Interior's important role in the net zero building sector. The Ministry is seeking international experience sharing and collaboration, particularly in the area of upgrading old buildings in a sustainable way and looks forward to more exchanges with Sweden and Swedish companies in the future.
The Swedish Representative, Helena Reitberger, pointed out the strong policy support from Sweden, including the implementation of a carbon tax, which applies not only to industry but also to private residential buildings, facilitating the green building transition in Sweden. Assa Abloy and Camfil shared their solutions for smart access control and energy-efficient filters. Baseload Power also informed about their projects to develop geothermal power within the national park.
The meeting marks the beginning of what we hope will be an ongoing sharing and collaboration for the smart and green building sector in the future.
